People with type 2 diabetes who ate carbohydrate first, followed 10 min later by protein and vegetables showed higher increase in their postprandial blood sugar levels compared to those who ate protein and vegetables first, followed 10 min later by carbohydrate. These findings online September 1, 2017 in BMJ Open Diabetes Research and Care.
